Guestbook Problem

I've made a regular guestbook in PHP, it contains nothing special.
At every page i show the latest 5 post's. What I'm wondering, is how
can i make links at the bottom of the page to the earlier posts. Eg
Say in the database there is 20 posts, i show the post 16-20
under that, i want it to look like this:

1 2 3 4

That is, 1 = post 1-5, 2 = post 6-10, etc. My question is then, how can
i do this, I think it might be possible to use LIMIT, but i am not sure
on how to do it.

The system info is as following:
Server: Apache
PHP: v4.02
Database: MySql

Hi,

It works like this

SELECT * FROM Messages ORDER BY Idx LIMIT 1, 5

1 is the offset and 5 the page size giving you 5 hits starting with the first. (6, 5) would give you the second page, (11, 5) the third and so on.
The offset is simply calculated as "(page_number-1) * page_size + 1"
