PHP and MySQL

Do these two come together or do you have to install MySQL

No, they don't come together (i.e. mysql isn't included in php, and php isn't included in mysql).

But they do come together with many distributions, like RedHat, Suse, and Mandrake linux. Most distributions have them built ready to talk to each other.

Both are free (as in beer and speech)

ya, we have va linux, but it is present with php3 and postgre, had a tough time removing php3 and installing php4 and mysql
