Need an idea?

Anyone have an idea on how I can hide image/buttons from a user after they have clicked on it, gone away and returned? What I'm doing is allowing the user to vote on an item once. After they have clicked the image/button to vote, I want to set a cookie that does not expire, and when they return to the page not even see the button to vote with. Any ideas?

hi!

if you dont save your users in a database
and they dont have to log in via an
id/password-promt ... well ... then this
solution with cookies seems to be the only
way for me.
