Backend like Slashdot in rdf and xml

I would like to add a slashdot-like backend to my webpage. I already generated the backend-file, but it doesn`t seem to be ok:

Is there a special header I have to sent or something else ?

Looks OK to me and works fine with my brute-force RSS tool. In what way is it failing?

You might want to recast that as RSS-0.91, which no longer pretends to be RDF. Here are details:

Thanks - yes, I finally noticed that it`s works ...
Although there is one question left:

can I add additional elements to <item></item> like <downloads> or <votes> or do I break the RSS-format then ?
I didn`t find anything about it in the docs on the RSS-webpage ...
