Differences between 2 arrays in PHP3

I searched the forum, and did not find a thread on this specific topic, so here goes:

Anyone know a quick-and-dirty routine or function to compute the differences between two arrays in PHP3?

I know it can be done easily with 'array_diff' in PHP4, but I got a client who is stuck(?) for the moment with PHP3.

Hi,

In theory, you could iterate over all keys in one of the arrays and unset each found key in both arrays (although it might not exist in the other). Now you have eliminated all common elements so iterate both arrays to find the unique elements and you'll have the difference. Actual coding left as an exercise to the reader ;-)
