PHP is adding a few TABS at the beginning and end of the text that I am trying to write to file. Why does it do this and how can I fix it so that it only writes what I explicitly state in the <TEXTAREA> field?

I don't think PHP just does this for the hell of it...it's got to be something in your code. Can you show where you've got your textarea and how you're saving it to a file?
