$the_path question

I want to upload images to the folder http://www.mysite.com/upload_images but i don't know how to write this in php.
I'm just starting to understand php and can't figure this out.

Ok, that is a little confusing, so let me reword my question.

In the article File Uploads Made Easy, the script states i have to write the path where i want the file to be placed on my server

$the_path = "/usr/local/apache/htdocs/sites/dev/phpbuilder/upload/files";

I want the files to be placed in the folder http://www.myserver.com/upload_images. How do i write this with the appropriate slashes and text?

P.S. The name of my server really isn't "myserver.com" i'm just doing it for saftey reasons. Not that i don't trust ya.

Do you have telnet or ssh to your sever space? Get to the upload/files directory or wherever you want to place the images, and type in

pwd

That's what you put in $the_path.
