Not validating correctly

Hello all,
On my journey with PHP, I am learning more and more everyday. Love it!

Anyway, I wanted some fancy form validation (Only in IE, 'cause it's with stylesheets for the textfields/forms):

All fields are required (click on "view source" in the upperleft) ..

But it doesn't do so.

For example, I can fill in only the "Job Description" formfield, and press submit, and it will accept it. The rest seems to work fine .. but why doesn't it work with this field?

Anyone with suggestions?

I think the problem essentially lies in your if ( $submit ) statement.

A normal "if else" statement looks like this:

if ( $submit ) {
[form submit]
} else {
[form not submitted]
}

Yours looks like this:

if ( $submit ) {
else {{

}
}
[code]
}

If would change that to:

if ( $submit ) {
&nbsp;&nbsp;if ( !check_field1 ) {
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;$error = "wrong!";
&nbsp;&nbsp;}
&nbsp;&nbsp;if ( check_field2 ) {
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;$error = "wrong!";
&nbsp;&nbsp;}
&nbsp;&nbsp;if ( !$error ) {
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;[proceed]
&nbsp;&nbsp;}
}

'cause I think it's kind of typical that it only fails with the <b>last</b> field you check, jobdescription.
