Passing Variables

I decided to have a go at writing a bare-bones discussion board.

I've managed to get it so that you can list the posts and add posts but I cannot get the reply to work at all.

The idea is that when you click on 'reply', the current message id is passed on and becomes the parent message id. It all looks fine to me but the parent message id is always zero (which should only be the case when you start a new conversation).

Sorry about those links everyone.

You can figure it out from what's there though I'm sure.

I assume you got this fixed it worked for me, I clicked on the reply link and it showed the parentid = 14 then on the form on the following page it showed a hidden variable named parentmessageid with the value of 14 as well.

I know, but it still enters the parent message id as 0.

I thought it was maybe the table but, using the online admin system, i can enter whatever parent id I want.
