Replacing..

Bit of a problem here...

Priddy new coder of PHP looking at some form stuff... its a basic news update script, but instead of people having to shove the <p> or <br><br> tag(s) when they want a cararge return id like PHP to do this its self...

Any ideas ?

Yup, just before you output the news story, do an ereg_replace on the carriage returns and display that.

$out=ereg_replace("\n","<br><br>",$in);

There's actually a function built in to do this.

nl2br($string);

stands for "newline to br"
