Browser conflict...

I pass a string as a parameter from one .php3 file to the other. While doing so i am able to get the string totally in case of IE but not in Netscape(4.6,4.7)..
(ex)if
$city="New York";

<a href="2.php3?submit=yes&city=<?php echo $city; ?> click me </a>

result in IE:
New York

result in netscape.:
New

Try the urlencode function. It should replace the space in your city name with a plus sign (+).

<a href="2.php3?submit=yes&city=<?php echo urlencode($city); ?> click me </a>

urlencode($city) should work as mentioned above but if not u can try
rawurlencode($city)

read up on www.php.net to find the difference between the two.
