Creatring dynamic images incl. tables

Hi,

I have a kind of specific question:

What I'm looking for:

I want to create a dynamic table (since I want to put information of a database in it). Okay, no problem so far, BUT:
I then want this created table to be a image then - just like a screenshot.

Why do I want to have a "screenshot"?
Well, that's easy, cause I want, that everyone can include this image to his own website and configure the colours, fonts etc. of the included table by parameters.

Actually I'm looking for this:

You can specify all kind of parameters like fontcolor, cell-background-color etc.

Does anyone know how to implement this? I searched nearly the whole web but couldn't find a thing.

You can use PHP and the GD library, as well as the FreeType libraries, I believe, to get the desired effect.

However, it would seem that you could create the table and kick out the HTML source fairly easily, allowing users to cut and paste your table into their web page. I suppose this is less fool-proof than a simple image, though. But, it seems much more bandwidth friendly.

There should be plenty of info in the php mailing list archives (see php.net) about PHP/GD/FreeType.
