Stringing all the variables together?

I have a varying number of form vars on page1 and the same on page2. When I submit page2 I need all the vars on page1 and page2 in the resulting URL.

I found that the variable $QUERY_STRING can be used in page2 to retreive all the vars from page1 but I can't find a way to join it all together and submit it as one string.

Your example creates a href link on Page 2 containing all the variables from page 1 but what I require is that all those form variables from page 1 are join together with the form variables selected from page 2 to create a combined query string in the URL (after the question mark).
So after the user clicks the submit button on page 2 the variables from page 1 and 2 will form the query string.

This may be very easy but because I am new to web programming its proving to be quite illusive.
