unlink ( ) = No on windows

while coding a guestbook, with administation abilities, I came across the first time I had to use unlink (). Well I run my server off of a windows 98 machine with the very newest php build, and I found out, that unlink () won't work with windows. when I test it, I get this message

Warning: unlink() is not supported in this PHP build in D:\WINDOWS\Profiles\jaimz\Desktop\Web\VERTIGO LABS\phptests\del.php on line 21

Then be cause of that the rest of my code doesn't work, and I get these because it doesn't delete the the file

I tried that, before I posted the first message, my computer when I click the delete button on the admin webpage, it go to a newpage that is just php code, to delete the selected post(s), then it will go to the main page automaticly, but when I tried the

thing in the quick ref. my computer loads the page half way and stops, as if it stopped at that piece of code and it's trying to figure it out, I've let it sit there for over an hour before, nothing happens. it won't work.
