PARAGRAPHS DISPLAYING IN HTML FROM MYSQL

I am using both varchar(255) and longtext fields in Mysql

but

on the html they don't take any notice of carriage returns

How can I get the text to display as typed e.g.

Heading

Lines 2
Lines 3
Lines 4

At the moment it displays:

HeadingLines 2Lines 3Lines 4

etc.

I believe what you are looking for is the nl2br() function in php:

I don't think I'd have ever thought of nl2br - doesn't sort of readily come to mind!

I suppose it means

NewLinesTooBR
