Including PHP in a .shtml page?

I have used <!--#exec cgi="blah.php" --> to include certain details on a .shtml page. When viewed I get the results I need but also displays header information...

X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.3 etc...

How do I get rid of these headers?

I'm not a specialist in SSI, but I know how to suppress PHP headers : php -q
So if the following syntax is correct :

<!--#exec cgi="php -q blah.php" -->

it will fix your problem.

It's been a long time but I have finally got round to trying your suggestion. I added php -q as you suggested but it has just thrown up the following error:

Warning: Failed opening 'C:\Web Site\wwwrootphp -q \cgi-bin\orderForm.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in Unknown on line 0

This is the line I added to my page:
