Passing PHP to MS Access report

Hello---

Here is what I want to do and if anyone has ever done it can you please give me some hints....

I have a mysql databse with a php front end. My boss has requested that I develope some reports and the only experience and software that we have here that I can do what he wants is Ms Access 97.

Is there a way to pass variables that the user would choose on a php page to run MS Access and a report?

I think I saw something in a newsgroup about a class file that someone developed to do this however just my luck I can't find it!!!!

Why not just use a webpage to output the report information?

The needs of the end user requires a paper copy to file in a cabinet....I know it is kind of stupid but you have to do what you have to do.

Anyone know of any other way to format a report with php or the web?

K, it took me an hour to get all the freakin' patches installed to MS Office, but here's how:

Download and setup myodbc to connect to your mysql database.
Create a new Access mdb, then go file: Get External Data: select Link then file type 'odbc resources' and pick the myodbc resource. You will then have a ms access database tied dynamicly to mysql and you can create reports to your hearts content in access.
