What's the rule for specifying the URL in the header (Location: command? I've seen some examples which just show the filename of the page, others which use the full URL even if on the same site.

I need to be able to test my PHP scripts on my Xitami personal web server before uploading them to my webspace on my ISP, so it makes it difficult to hardcode the full URL.

You should be able to use a relative URL. I've heard that the original HTTP specifications state that Location headers must have a full URL, but all contemporary browsers (as far as I know) seem to accept relative URLs with no problems.

yeah, i've actually had errors where a client was complaining that their site didnt work because the Location: urls were relative and threw her mac-netscape browser off, so since then i've been doing full url.

I seem to be having problems with relative URLS when served from my xitami server. Diid you get anywhere with this.

I'd like to use relative, since i am trying to get some prewritten scripts going
