Synchronized in PHP???

Hi,

I'd need a way to protect more than one person from accessing a function or php-page at a time.

I Java you would use synchronized with a method, but what do you use i php with a function, or do you need to "lock" and entire page...?

Hope someone has the answer..

Explain why it would be necessary to "lock" a php file. What is it that will fail if the web server/php process two instances of the same page at once? Perhaps you are not approaching the problem in the optimal way...
