how do you print from your webpage using php?

If you want to print client-side, 2 possibilities :

• the user prints thanks to the File/Print menu of the browser; the result is not always very good
• the PHP script sends a PDF document to the browser; better result but involves more coding

You can't automatically make something print with PHP. PHP runs on the server, so even if you could, it would print on the printer attached to the server, if there is one.

Just provide a 'printable' page and tell people to click the big button that says 'Print'. Rather easy...
