RegEx Help

I'm really frustrated by this seeming easy regex, especially since I have Mastering Regular Expression book right in front of me:

I just want to match a line of text w/o any periods on a line by itself:

...blah blah blah.

MATCH THIS TEXT

Blah blah Blah....

This what I come up with, but it doesn't work?

/\n\n[^.]+\n\n/sm

It should work, I think (except that you have a wrong \ right before the [).

The problem is probably elsewhere in your code.

I figured it out, so I thought I'd record my solution here if anyone else is looking for it.

The problem is (besides the obvious typo '[' should be '[') is that I need to be looking for BOTH \r and \n for the boundaries. That's why I could never find more than 1 \n in a row.

MATCH THIS TEXT.\r\n
\r\n
Blah blah blah...

so the correct regex should be:
/\r\n\r\n[^{.]+\r\n\r\n/sm}
