search engine

Hi i'm creating a search engine, i can get it to pull up results where $term = my results that it's pulled from an mysql database but what i want it to do is search for part of a word, in the middle of a word etc.. is there some code that would allow me to grab something that is like my $term?

SELECT field FROM table WHERE field like '%$word%'

The % character meens wild card... Hope this helps you

its really simple ..............

just use :

like  % $term %

and u will get your result.
