Has anyone else had this problem - and if so could they advise me as to what is going on as it's driving me more than a little nuts.....
I'm developing a php/mysql driven site, with a news section which is administrated by the client- writing new articles to the news table, which are pulled out by the public news page.. Nothing new in that...
However, when testing the page, I have entered new articles into the db, the gone to the public news page (news.php) and they have not appeared.
They HAVE been written to the table and all the criteria have been met for them to be displayed- but they simply are not appearing. (using ie 5 on win 98). No-matter how many times i press refresh and reload the page, the new item simply refuses to appear..
UNTIL- that is, I open a new browser (in this case ns 6) and load the same page, then the new article does appear- AND then when i refresh news.php in ie 5, it appears there too!!
I'm confused, as far as i can see i've set my browser not to cache these pages, so i'm at a loss as to where the problem could be occuring- is it with the host? or maybe with the isp?
I've not come across this 'lag' before, can anyone advise?
Yours,
Desperate from Nottingham.
