stop script and execute new one

Hi everybody,

Is there a way to start script2 from within a script1 and stop execution of a script1 at the same time.

I tried header ('Location:...');, but it's not going to work for me, since I have both scripts located outside of my html doc root.

you could do this:

header("Location: newscript.php");
exit;

But then you cant have written anything to the browser yet...

by the way if you switch output_buffering = ON (php.ini) you can do that even if you have written something to the browser.

It looks like I can only use header if script
is located in html root or one of its subdirectories. For the security sake I need to put it in one of the folders that I have written path to in my php.ini. You think it could be done?
