screen resolution

i designed my webpage in 1024/768 resolution.

when a user opens it inother resolution a scrollbar appears at the bottom.
i dont want that.
how can i avoid the scrollbar.
i want the script for the same.

You can avoid the scrollbar by making your page fit on an 800x600 screen.

You should not be designing your pages for a specific resolution. There is no telling what resolution the visitor might be using. Your best bet is to make all of your sizes relative using percentages.

hey, relax, if you design for 1024/768 obviously if someone opens the page in 848/480 you WILL have the scrollbar.
as everone else suggests, design for the lowest common denominator which I would assume to be 800/600 then no scrolling for rest of the rezs.
