help me disable caching of php pages!!

Hello / help,
I'm just getting into php and have written a few functions, but one thing that I have noticed is that despite the headers(""); for no caching that I am putting in, the pages are still getting browser-cached. This can be relieved by pressing ctrl-f5 but you can't expect end users to do that... any advice? I have cheched EVERYTHING and they all say to use the 3/4 header lines, but they don't seem to work.... Thanks!

By the way, does anyone know of a good article anywhere about controling caching in PHP?

Put this in a file and include it the first thing you do in every script.

if your using links on your pages you could try adding the output of the time funtion to the end of the url i.e. http://www.any.com/thispage.php?t=345656456
the browser will see a new url each time and reload...it won't work if the user uses the back button tho.
