Connecting to a SSH-Server from PHP

hello all

I'm currently planning some stuff to make my administrator days a bit better.

I'm looking for a way to connect to a SSH-Server on a linux box, to execute some simple commands there, like starting a script or something...

I've been searching here throught the forum, and also on PHP.net and haven't found anything helpful yet..

does anyone out there know about this? is there a possibility to connect to a SSH server through PHP?

You can't use SSH directly in PHP. You'll have to call ssh from your PHP, as an external command. The exec() function is a good way of doing that.
