mail() and return path

I'm setting up a mailing list and use mail() to send emails.

Somehow I can't determine the "Return-path" that sends the email back when it can not be delivered.
Can you help me with that?
If necessary I can swith to sendmail or smtp, when you know a way to solve this with these tools.

At http://phpclasses.upperdesign.com/browse.html/class/2 there is a class which you may use and which lets you determine the Return-Path. The class is called "SMTP E-mail sending class".

You need to know how to use PHP's object-oriented programming features in order to use the class.
