Strange session problem

I have a file "file1" in folder "A" which registers a session variable "var"

In all the files present in the same folder "A" the value of var can be seen if I do a session_start

I have another folder "B" and in this folder I have another file "file2" which starts the session

My problem is that when i call "file2" in folder "B" from any file in folder "A" thru a post or a link, the value of var does not get carried on .... I am doing a session start in all the files in folder "B"

I am using php4 Apache on win32.

Is this a limitation of sessions ?

Why doesn't a registered variable been seen thru different folders ?

Does anybody have any answers.

Sorry for such a short answer but have you tried http://www.php.net/manual/ref.session.php. It seems I have heard of this problem before, but the answer escapes me (if I ever knew it).
