I have a form which submits to a .php and adds the submission to a text file. I need to strip out keyboard returns and shift/returns so as to properly format the results and not add extra lines to my .txt files...?

Any Ideas?

In PHP4 you could use the nl2br function wich replaces any newline with a <br>

I have put the function in my code and it does put <br> in the text file but also seems to be retaining the 'new line'? Is this because I am developing on a Windows machine or will this function not remove the 'new lines'?

There is indeed a difference between windows and unix on this subject,
