textarea echo

Here's a strange one...

I'm building a modify mysql page...

The data comes back when I do:

<input type="text" name="descript" size=50 value="<? echo "$descript"; ?>">

However when I want it to come back in a multiple line text area it doesn't...

<textarea name="descript" cols="50"><? echo "$descript"; ?></textarea>

What happens if you also specify rows=15 or so for the textarea? Also, the double quotes are unnecessary in your echo statements.

NO WAY! That WORKED! I can't believe I left that out...ref. rows=

I tried the single quotes but it returned the string statement instead. Ah I see what your saying no quotes at all... Dude that Rocks! That should save some time...
