Cron job: every *other* Monday?

Is there some way to set a cron job to run every other Monday? I tried using a "step" for the "day of week" field, but I get an error message...

How about teaching your script to know which Mondays it should run on? It could be as simple as "touching" a log file and then looking at the mod-time on the log file and not running if it's less then 8 days old.

Sorry, I don't mean in cron, but rather that the program you schedule to run every Monday could keep track of the last time it ran, and refuse to run again until it's been at least 8 days or so...

That would be easier than trying to modify crond to do something different.

I saw an example of every other hour like this:

*/2 will work for hour and minutes, but not for day of the week. Kirk Parker's suggestion worked: Write a script that will "touch" a log file after the job runs; then have it check the modification-time of the log file before running again. If it has been less than 2 days since the script ran, program the job to terminate.
