I was interested in some opinions. I am developing a web site and was wondering what the pros and cons are of having the entire site called from a mysql database. Meaning: the beginning of each page would be db queries that would set which header, footer, content pages to use as well as set the title, language etc... basically everything.
Will this slow down the server too drastically or should it not be a problem? What are some other options?
Currently, the pages are generated from a series of forms. Either I can have them write out to files or to the db.
