How do i register "server objects"

You see, i can't deny the past, it's this stupid way i've ms-learned all things...

so: i'd like to have application wide instances of objects registered in a global whatsoever object...

sorry in ASP there's an application object that starts when the 1st ever page is requested... then you register objects and variables, that all scripts can invoke...

right?

I recommend using REQUIRE to include (require, that is) a file that either contains a library requiring all of your classes saved in individual file (good form--easy to edit) or you could require 1 file that contains all of your classes, functions, etc (bad form -- pain in the butt to de bug!). Put the require at the top of the page. PHP is pretty procedural, so I think you should consider modulization as much as possible.

This question comes up about once a week. I have never seen a satisfactory explanation of what benefits ASP provides that cannot be obtained by using the require() directive in PHP. If you do not want to specify modules to be included in each file of an application, there is a PHP.ini setting that will designate a file to be automatically prepended to all PHP files.
