Variables

Hello people

I am very new with PHP and despite having searched for a solution in several of the best books on PHP I can not find an easy solution to this problem.

I have a little form at the start or my web page that asks the users to input several pieces of info (say $NAME, $EMAIL,...) and I want to pass this vaiables to all my other pages.
For example in another page I want to use the vaiable $NAME or $EMAIL in another one.
I tried using cookies but it did not work.
Can anyone suggest a solutin.
Please keep in mind that I know very little about PHP so be generous in explanation.

Have a look at:

This explains how with "method=post", form variables are automatically made available to the PHP script you specify as the form "action".

Alternatively, you can include the variables in the URL when you invoke the next script:

e.g. xyz.php?name=fred&email=abc
