Floating point numbers

I'm a spanish user and with this code:

<?= 1.5 ?>

I obtain this output:

1

I've installed PHP4.0.4 in a Debian 2.1 and php seems to ignore what is behind the dot '.'. I suppose it could be a problem with the "locale" but have no idea about how to fix it.

Please help!!

That's not proper php, so i am surprised that you even saw anything.

show us the code that you used.

Why is not proper, because of the <?= constructor? That's not the problem.

My code is only:

<?= 1.5 ?>

or if you prefer:

<? echo 1.5 ?>

You could try quoting the 1.5:
'1.5'
