Could someone help me out please by telling me which function of PHP can I use and how to determine a users IP address, and then store this as $ip or something to later compare or store in a MySQL database.
I've seen this done on PHP3 (and 4 but I use 3 currently) sites but don't know, and can't seem to find out how. Its also possible with JS O believe, yet I can only get information on getting it via Netscape, so not overly useful.
