Double Select Query Problem

Heloo friends i'm prety new in php and i have confusing problem. i have table in mysql like this (NO and LANGUAGE is primary key) :
NO | LANGUAGE | TEXT

1 | English | Enter

2 | English | Exit

1 | Italiano | Entrano
2 | Italiano | Escono

From that table i'd like to show them (all records) in my web just like this :

NO | TEXT | TEXT
1 | Enter | Entrano
2 | Exit | Escono

So..i wrote in PHP part of my query like this :

$query = "select * distinct from my table where LANGUAGE = 'English' AND LANGUAGE= 'Italiano';
$result= @($query);
if (mysql_numrows($result) > 0) {
while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) :

<tr>

<td><div><%=$row[TEXT]%></div></td>
<td><div><%=$row[TEXT]%></div></td>
</tr>
......
it still contain error...i have no idea how to solve this problem with double select query. Thanks for helping me.

In associative arrays, you must give the name of the element between quotes:

$row["NO"];
$row["TEXT"];

and I guess you'll want to change the <% %> to <? ?>

"where LANGUAGE = 'English' AND LANGUAGE= 'Italiano'" will never return any records because no record can have a language of BOTH English and Italiano.

If you can, I'd suggest changing your table to this:

NO |ENGLISH | ITALIANO
1 | Enter | Entrano
2 | Exit | Escono

Then the query would be easy to write.

If you can't change the table, the only thing I can think of would be to create two temporary tables, one containing Italian words and the other containing English words and then join them on the field, 'NO'.

The PHP code looks like it should work.
