Hi i've got a form that i've created in php so that you can go forward or back and the info that you fill in is taken backwards and forwards, so that you don't need to retype it all, this all works fine, for everything except i have a text area and although the info that you fill in is sent in the e-mail at the end if you go back and forward it will not fill in the text in the textarea works fine for text boxs, and checkboxs just not the textarea, the info is there in a hidden field, any help? thanks Martin

This may or may not fix your problem. Please post code!
But just guessing, you are doing somthing like <textarea value = "$hiddenfield"></textarea>
But thats not how textareas work--you need something along the lines of...
<textarea name = "whatever"><?if($hiddenfield){print $hiddenfield;}?></textarea>

Darren, here is the code that i was using i think it is the reason that you said but if you want to have a look it's below, thanks Martin

What darren said is your code should look like:

<textarea name="notes2" rows=5 cols=50>$notes2</textarea>

Notice I put the $notes2 between the <textarea> and the </textarea>
