Javascript question

Sorry to post this here, but I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. The Javascript forums that I know about are down right now.

Ok here's the problem. I need a button on a top frame to remove the top frame, without the bottom frame reverting to the original frameset. I have tried the following.

a href="javascript: top.location.href = top.frames[1].location.href ; "

With and without the .location. part. If I replace top.frames[1].location.href with a URL this works perfectly, taking me to that URL. Anyone know of a good javascript forum so I can post more appropriatly??

Ok now this is just annoying. If I use

a href="javascript: top.location.href = top.frames[0].location.href ; "

It succesfully loads the top frame into the full window, it just doesn't work with frames[1] which should be the bottom frame. Any other way to reference the bottom frame?
