Refreshing my php count down?

I have a cell in a table where I have some php code that gices a count down, but its static, meaning once the page is loaded the date time is not updated. Please advise on how to get it to run down? if need be check out www.lanburn.com and give me a clue. Yes novice here.

This is something you will have to do with javascript or some other client side mechanism. You can you PHP to keep track of the starting point when the client connects to the server and javascript can go from there...or you can let javascript do the whole thing. As for a code snippet, I have no idea since I am not a very good javascript developer.

This one is tricky because most javascript used to count down to something has to be used in INPUT field. IMHO, that looks awful. There is a way to use a history function to have the page keep refreshing, but that would lagg the server down a ton, I'm sure.
