Translating from Cold Fusion

Hello,

Im a cold fusion developer and have begun playing around with PHP because I can run it on my Macintosh.

is there an equivilent funtion to the cold fusion tag <cfif isdefined ("variable.name")> </cfif>

which checks to see if a variable exists..like a URL variable for instance.

you have to use OSX server with apache.

look out for a bunch of competing web authoring suite bundles coming out at the same time as OSX 1.0 in march.
