I'm working on an e-mail solutions using PHP. But Unfortunately, i had some problem retrieving large e-mail source, so I decided to write a background daemon in PERL which downloads e-mails in background. Unfortunaly, there were some problem that I can't figure out. I just wanna ask you guys if someone has an interest in helping me with my PERL source code problem. I know this is not the right place for perl discussion but i couldn't find any other good discussion site for Perl. So, I'm taking my chances hoping that my question will not be disregarded in this forum. Thanks

If you need to fetch email onto your local box for processing, look at both fetchmail and procmail, which are made to download and process email respectively. They do a damned great job with just a bit of editing their config files.

can you show me ? I'm not so familiar with regards to configuring MTA's like Sendmail or procmail. Their configuration are so difficult to understand. I'm still new to linux...
