Considerations 4 "including" PHP pages

Hi,

actually I am used to point html pages with form elements to .php3 pages in order to get out a result.

I am thinking about a way to include these php3 inside a .htm page so that the users cannot understand how the "magic" is made.

So I ask 2 things:

a) if I include a .php3 page it should work.
Isn't it ?

b) Ok it works, but what about variables ?
How the included page could know that
it have to use the variabales I am
sending trought the form elements ?

I hope there is solution for this "maquillage" trouble...if yes let me know!

You cannot actually include the php file from inside html simply since html has no provision for inclusion of other files.

You may be able to use SSI (Server Side Includes) which are commands that apache parses from inside the html, but I doubt it will run php scripts from SSI.

You can however by playing tricks of the mind order Apache to act on an html file as a php file, check out the documentation of Apache for the <file> & <location> directive.
