Money input/display

I am curently working on several pages that need to accept and display money (dollars/cents). I could put together the required edit/replace code, but surely someone has a set of functions for this?
Any assistance is appreciated, so please share your previous experinces.

I'm looking for assistance around the input side. With the entry field on an html form being text, a person can input a variety of formats i.e. 0,1 or 2 decimal positions - commas - no commas - dollar sign etc.
Anyone accepting money input needs basically the same functionality before being able to use the input for calculations or to store. I was hoping someone may have a library or function I could use.
