String operator

Say I have the following code:

$a = "123";
$b = "123";
$c = "0";

if ($a == $b) {
$c = "1";
}
else {
$c = "0";
}

return $c;

Why does it return "0"? Would anybody tell me what is the comparsion operator for String, thanks!

It doesn't. The value of $c in this example is 1. Look elsewhere in your code for the problem.

strcmp — Binary safe string comparison
Description

int strcmp (string str1, string str2)

Returns < 0 if str1 is less than str2; > 0 if str1 is greater than str2, and 0 if they are equal.

Note that this comparison is case sensitive.

if you wanna do incase sensitive comparison use stristr function
