mime mail headers

hi,
i'm having problems with a form to email+attachment script, seems no matter where i put the from:header it upsets the attachment. if i leave it out it works fine..anyone know any good articles on the subject..i tried looking through the rfc's and it gave me brainache..
i'd like to figure it out myself rather than poach somebodies script example

I have a class file which does just that.

You're more than welcome to it, however, it's comprehensive... so I am not sure if pasting it here will be a good idea.

I've tried using this method already and I got this fatal error saying 'php.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program'

I found that it's the part of this function..mail($to, $subject, "", $mime), I don't quite understand if I have to put every into this $mime field.

Have you got this problem before? Anyone knows where's gone wrong? Many thanks.

Can you paste the code (just the part which calls the object and then the '$object->send' part)?

I have no clue how this works on windows - is there a log you can view? (system or web server?) Is this on IIS or PWS?

Some documentation (not about mail specifically) - said that php may not halt on syntax error immediately, however, this will cause windows to crash the engine.

I just directly call the mail function like this mail($mail_to, $mail_subject, "", $mail_header).

Or another way I tried with you code was just like this
$mail->send();

Actually, I'm running PHP on Apache with Win2000 machine. The message from the log file says 'Premature end of script headers: c:/php/php.exe'.

Actually the mail function works fine without attachment, just plain message. But once I add on the mime headers, it crashes the system.

Well, there's a lot about mailing with attachments

I always used this class

Have a go at it, it also works with Windows based Apache server

1 little problem, it doesn't work right with Hotmail, the mail gets dropped in Junk mail each time you try to send it.

But for normal use, it works fine :-)
