Hi there, i am writing a scrip that needs access to a mail program with following features:
i) Does not require IMAP to be installed in PHP.
ii) works on qmail
I only need to be able to "read" and "delete" the mail, this is not for a webmail type thing but for php to get the emails into it using cron.
I have a problem though, I can't find any decent info about POP access everything is about IMAP which i don't want.
I found this excellent looking class which looked like the solution:

but when i try and use it to access my qmail server i get:
http://www.ascifi.com/mail/list.php
which says:
"Ooops POP3: premature NOOP OK, NOT an RFC 1939 Compliant server "

now i know this is possible... i have a script on my server:
http://ascifi.com/mail2/feriepost/
that works for qmail, the thing is i can't understand the code it is written some other language so all the variable names and comments don't make any sense to me.
Some help on this would really be apprecaited, i have been searching for info but can't find any.
