Using cookies and sessions?

I'm a little new to sessions. Well, I've used them but haven't explored there full capabilities.

What I want to do is have a bunch of variables and arrays saved on the client machine. I'm using sessions to move variables and arrays between pages.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That is exactly the opposite of that sessions are all about.

The point of sessions is that you don't have to store the data on the client side anymore. Instead, you store the data in a session, on the server side.
That means you can access the data much faster, and it is more secure because nobody can spoof the session data itself, as it is stored on your harddisk.

I was looking through a couple articles but I found it hard to disect them to apply them to my situation.

I have a very basic situation.

I want to store 2 arrays. So when some one comes back I can retrieve the info. The session would expire after a month.

How can I do this? I have access to mysql, but know little about it. I did create a database but no clue as to where it was created.

Any info would be much appreciated.
