variables to flash created on the fly.

I am loading a php page with basic formated information about a given product in my data base. I am trying to create a flash element, a menu bar. I need to have flash recognize the variables I have created on that page such as: price, description, various identifiers, etc. etc. so these can be incorporated into the menu bar. I know how to pull variables into flash but only by pointing at a PHP page that creates a url, but I can't figure out how to pass variables to flash from the page I put the flash animation on.
Does any of this make sense?

sorry if i dont answer your question properly but i think i understand wat u r getting at.

the way i have been passing php varaibles into flash currently is by adding them as a query string within the param and embed tags of the html taht displays the flash.

so myflashmovie.swf?variable1=<? echo $variable1?>

has to be into both the embed and param tags

i use this method instead of using loadvariables from within flash as it renders the results as soon as the movie is intialised. well it appears to🙂

Yes, this works however i am experiencing issues when passing a variable with a decimal place. For some reason flash has a problem with "." character.

Does anyone know a way around this?
